Short Answer (10 points)

Please answer in full sentences and in your own words. Do not just copy and paste from the lesson.

  • How many types of broken worlds exist?
  • What is SRA called in the movies?
  • Which other piece of legislature was SRA connected with?
  • What did SRA require?
  • When was SRA abolished?

Fill-in-the-Blank (10 points)

  • Either through _____ or _____, they apprehend _____ and do not hesitate to interfere with the work of police officers, firefighters, rescue workers, and military personnel.
  • This world must be a _____ one.
  • Another example is Arrow's _____ _____, which is under the rule of powerful _____, who have little value for human life.
  • The people living on Earth simply do not have resources to fight against _____ and his army of _____ on their own.
  • Civil War leaves us without a _____ answer, which was perhaps the point.

A Whole New World (10-20 points)

In the lesson we talked about the types of broken worlds. Find another Helpless or Corrupt World that we did not mention in the lesson, describe it briefly and explain how it gave birth to superheroes. Your writing must be 100 words or more.

You can do this option twice for 20 points. If you choose to do so, one world must be an example of a Corrupt World and one an example of a Helpless World. Please cite any sources that you may use.

Visual Sudoku (15 points)

Solve the following sudoku to figure out on which side the characters were in the Civil War.

Team Iron Man or Team Captain America? (15 points)

The lesson put forward the dilemma superheroes faced in Civil War storyline. My question to you is: Which side would you pick? Pro-registration of superheroes led by Iron Man or Anti-registration with Captain America? Or would you be like Spiderman in the comics, in the beginning on one side, then switching to the other? Does your decision depends on whether the dilemma comes from the movies or the comics?

Please write your opinion in 150 words or more and cite any sources that you may use.

Laws, Laws Everywhere (10 points)

We mentioned Superhuman Registration Act as one of the laws that tried to establish oversight over superheroes and their actions. Find another law or agreement that did just that (not Mutant Registration Act) from any piece of media and describe it. How did it come into effect? Why was it made? What were its terms? Which superheroes supported it and which were against it, if any? Write 100 words or more and cite any sources that you may use.

Cryptogram (10 points)

Solve the following cryptogram and send the solution to me as a picture or a phrase.

One to Five Stars (15 points)

Pick one of the movies mentioned in the lesson and write a review in 150 words or more. Include a short synopsis of the movie, how the world type and/or oversight of superheroes was shown in the piece and whether you think the filmmakers did this justice. Please take note that while all movies are appropriate for teenagers, there is some degree of violence present in the movies. If you did this option in previous assignments, you are not allowed to pick the same movie.

Art (15 points)

Through the use of any medium, illustrate something that was mentioned in the lesson. It does not have to be particularly good (I know I am not a very talented artist), but you need to put an effort into your submission.
